When should I get a facial or wax/thread my brows before my wedding day?
I recommend never waxing or exfoliating the day of or the day before your wedding. Often times redness, puffiness or irritation can occur, especially if it is not a service you have done regularly. I suggest you get your brows done (specifically threading, however, it is up to personal preference) at least 4 days in advance. If you're planning on getting a facial, do so at least one week prior to your wedding day. This will give your skin the time it needs to heal and recover from waxing, threading, exfoliating or extractions.
I'm getting a spray tan before my wedding. Should I spray my face as well?
I do not suggest that you spray tan your face because the ingredients in the spray tan may counteract with your makeup and poorly effect the application and longevity of the makeup. I will of course match your foundation to your body, so no need to worry.
What if I don't want a consultation for my makeup for my wedding?
It is recommended that you have a consultation but not required, however, I strongly recommend doing so. A consultation gives us both direction and you a piece of mind in the very hectic business of planning a wedding. You'll have one less thing to worry about. You can be more relaxed and confident that you have a plan ahead of time. Consultations are complimentary additions to all bridal packages, so there is no added charge for the service.
How far in advance can I book my hair or makeup consultation for my wedding?
I recommend booking your consultation 2 weeks in advance at minimum. I can accommodate you and book it for any time you prefer.
How long does the bridal appointment take?
The consultation prior to your wedding will take approximately 1 hour. Makeup on your wedding day will take about one hour. However, I recommend booking your appointment far enough in advance that you leave yourself plenty of time to relax, take photos, and enjoy your special day before the ceremony!
What should I do to prepare for my makeup consultation for my wedding?
I recommend finding some images of makeup for reference for your look to show me before I arrive. Don't forget to show me your dress, if possible, too!
